The courts
All 5 courts are covered, ventilated and lit with LED lights, and all 5 are approved by the FIP. In practice that means regular bounces, competition-standard glass walls and a session that takes place whatever the weather. Abidjan has two rainy seasons; on a covered court they are seasons like any other. The courts hosted the early rounds of the FIP Gold Abidjan 2026 (23 to 28 June 2026), the first FIP Gold tournament ever played in Africa, after a FIP Bronze in 2025. Never played? Lessons in English
Padel is one of the easiest racket sports to pick up: underarm serve, walls that keep the ball in play, short rallies from day one. Padelta's coaches teach in French and in English. The options:
- Group introduction lesson, 1 hour, 4 to 6 players: 15,000 FCFA, racket included. Rules, grip, underarm serve, first rallies. After 2 or 3 of these you can book your own courts.
- Intermediate group lessons for players with a few months of practice: tactics in doubles, bandeja, vibora, lob.
- Private coaching, one to one, to fix a technical issue or prepare a tournament.
- Kids' holiday camps, ages 7 to 15, during school holidays, from 50,000 FCFA per week, rackets provided.
You need nothing for your first lesson: rackets and balls are lent. Bring sports clothes and trainers with a grippy sole (tennis or padel shoes, not street shoes). Lesson formats in French: padel lessons in Abidjan.
